Melissa Hollingsworth, Senior Interior Designer

Melissa is a nationally licensed interior designer and has been in the design field for almost 20 years, working mostly in the residential sector doing custom remodeling for her clients.

She earned her B.S. in interior design from Michigan State University and after many years of working went back to school and earned her MFA in design at the University of Central Oklahoma. She took a break from practice and ventured into academia, becoming a professor of interior design specializing in historic preservation and rehabilitation. After almost a decade of teaching, Melissa decided to move back to Michigan and begin practicing again.

Today, the educator in her makes her highly skilled at educating her clients on design concepts and theories to help them make informed design decisions. She is passionate about seeing a client’s vision come to fruition and loves seeing how happy they are with the completed project.
